EN 343 - PROTECTION AGAINST RAIN

Traditional PVC rainwear are kicked out of the market since breathable rainwear can avoid clammy skin by minimizing the humidity accumulated in the clothing and condensed on the skin. Also, body temperature will not drop too rapidly in cold temperature.

Practico has various kinds of waterproof fabric with Teflon or Nano-Teflon coating for protective wear and outdoor apparel. Hi-vis color with high quality full taped seam waterproof clothing are available.

Protective garment certified under EN 343 protect against weather condition as rain or snow, fog and ground humidity. Resistance to water penetration and water vapor resistance are the two main properties which are tested in the EN 343. These values are split into classes 1 to 3, the EN343 pictograph is illustrated as below:

A- This number indicates resistance to water penetration (max.3)

B- This number indicates resistance to water vapour(max.3)

Below is the breakdown of the three levels of water penetration resistance for EN 343 foul weather garments. 8000 Pa (Pascal units) stands for 1.16 pounds per square inch (PSI). The table below shows the attributes of resistance of vapour, based on the operating temperature, and the number of hours which the garment can hold out from vapour penetration.
